Building the Team

What an interesting time to start a game studio!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll be starting the new studio entirely remote. Once everything blows over, we can open a physical office location in either Boise or Meridian, Idaho.

This creates some unique challenges. To overcome them, we’re going to do things a bit differently than initially planned. New team members will be on-boarded one-at-time, and introduced to y’all here! Once we have a solid working relationship established, we can move on to the next person. Spacing new hires out like this takes a little longer, but makes our team stronger.

Since announcing the new studio in March, we’ve received hundreds of amazing applicants from Idaho and around the world! Thank you to everyone who has applied, or sent their best wishes for success. We’ve closed down the specific job role pages now, so we can focus on hiring top candidates and getting started on our top secret new project.

However, we’re leaving a General Applicant page open for those interested. Game development is a long and complicated process. Needs can change over time, and the right person can make all the difference in the world. Opportunities may arise in the future, and the first place we’ll check is our own database of prior applicants.

If you’re still waiting to hear back on an application, or applied for one of our Junior-level positions, please be patient your time will come. I personally review each application and portfolio in detail. I will continue to update everyone on the latest studio developments here and on Twitter.

Haven’t heard about our partnership with the legendary game company tinyBuild? You can read more about it here and here.
